Guild Guidelines

Rules and Regulations

These rules were written not to scare anyone, but to ensure that everyone’s enjoying themselves, as this is a game.

1. The Forsaken is an active guild for active players. Please, if you’re going to be offline for a long period of time, say so in your guild note or inform an officer. This is not a guild for an alt you’re rarely going to play while your main is off somewhere else.

2. Please review our Loot Rules.

3. Ninjas are not welcome. If you are unfamiliar with what a ninja is, it’s someone who takes loot without permission, by either rolling incorrectly or ignoring loot policy. Yes, sometimes this is an accident, but it’s easy enough to prevent. Visit the loot rules thread to read how looting is handled.

4. Do not ask for gold in guild chat or in Ironforge. Every player is able to have professions, use them. Everyone works hard to earn gold, they don’t want to buy mounts or overpriced auction house items for you, nor should they be pressured to. Whisper a personal friend, but the officers don’t want to get complaints from anyone, member or not, that you’ve been asking for gold.

5. There is no selling among guildies. We give, in hopes that the favor will be repaid.

6. Power leveling is not acceptable. Although that’s pretty tough for levels 50 and above, this includes alts. Do not ask for it, or expect it. Do what you will with your own characters and with friends, but it is not encouraged by the guild.

7. Let the leader(s) lead. Simple five-man parties can get confusing when more than one or two people are giving out instructions. This can result in deaths, or even a wipe. If you have an idea, send it to the leader in a whisper. This is even more important in raid groups.

8. Use common courtesy in guild chat and in groups. No insults, name-calling, or put-downs. When out elsewhere in the game, remember: you are representing the Forsaken. Please don’t give us a bad reputation.

9. We can’t tell you what to do with your spare time, but if you ever login drunk, stoned, whatever – keep it to yourself and out of guild chat. No one wants to hear about how wasted you are or how much better you heal/tank while intoxicated.

10. The Forsaken offers a lot to it's members in the form of assistance and access to the Guild Bank. If members wish to move on and find another guild, we will understand but we ask that we be informed. If we are informed of a member's desire to leave, no adverse actions will be taken. Trust between the officers and member is intact.

If officers find a player applying to another guild or posting public inquiries about leaving The Forsaken without informing an officer, they will be demoted to a rank that has no access to the Guild bank.

-Please note: If you leave without notice or are removed from the guild for any reason at any time and would like to rejoin The Forsaken, you must fill out an application. We will then reconsider your membership to the Forsaken.
