Too Easy

Well Dragon Soul has been released with patch 4.3 and The Forsaken pounced through the Siege of Wyrmrest with the greatest of ease, knocking off Morchok and Warlord Zon'ozz in one-shot fashion while coordination and tenants (who's names have been omitted but their dastardly deeds not) downloading TV shows at inopportune times made first-kills on Yor'sahj the Unsleeping and Hagara a tad more difficult than they needed to be.

Ultraxion has proved to be a bit of a gear check for us but I imagine it is only a matter of time before we're monkey-ing around on Deathwing's back and preventing the final cataclysm from coming to pass!

Who's That Knocking on My Door?

When Blizzard first announced they would be nerfing Firelands in preparation for Dragon Soul, 4.3's new Tier 13 raid, I really pushed the Raid team to knock out as many pre-nerf encounters as possible. At that point we were 3 of 7, and have spent well over 30 wipes learning the Alysrazor encounter. The over achievers that we are, we progressed to 50% of Majordomo Staghelm (for those not good at math, we downed Alysrazor and Baleroc) before having to call it a week.

We didn't quite make the 6 of 7 mark that I'd been hoping for pre-nerf but we had a chance to get the bosses that we were actively working on down the hard way, and that's good enough for us. The bosses of Firelands were still reeling from the shellacking they got during the Tuesday Maintenance when we stepped in, and proceeded to mow through the place like we were garden tools. In just under 3 hours time we were able to peek into the domicile of one Lord Ragnaros the Firelord.

Wonder if we're too soon...

Some Gatekeeper. Baleroc, the 5th boss in Firelands proved to be a much simpler challenge than 30+ wipes on Alysrazor while trying to execute her strategy perfectly, but then again most tank and spank fights are. Vthnaar, Winterbrook and Michara all ding'd revered with the Avengers of Hyjal and Michara added another ember to take her to 17-ish of 24 needed to get to the next step of her Legendary staff.
